And I have just learnt that CVS is not that great in managing binary
files after all (theory is one thing, but merging seens to get quite
confused).. so let's stay with the shar archive.
Now to the remaining question about how to unpack the icons on CVS
builds: Do we unpack the icons in the source directory or in the build
directory? My vote is in the source directory as this is simplest
(matches the layout in source distributions).
