Squid 2.5 is still supported and maintained, the latest release was only 3
weeks ago (2.5STABLE7).

Squid-3 seems to have stalled somewhat but there have been a few patches
from 2.5 backported in the last few months. Squid-3 CVS hasn't built for
me for months with gcc-3.4 (see bugzilla 1024:
http://www.squid-cache.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=1024) - this hinders
testing quite a bit ;)

Can any of the developers comment on if there anything that we (non coders)
can do to get things moving again?
