upgrade 1.0.20 -> 1.1.5

Hi,

does anybody know if squid-1.1.5 can use old objects created by
squid-1.0.20?

I want to upgrade from 1.0.20 to 1.1.5.

Do I have to clean up the cache dirs using a special program -
or does squid make this itself?
