For example, this is the TOP from our BSDI2.1, with a disk cache size
of 150 megs, with a mem size of 4 megs.

And below is the TOP from our FreeBSD2.1.5, with a disk cache size of
150 megs, with a mem size of 4 megs.

PID USERNAME PRI NICE SIZE RES STATE TIME WCPU
| 22730 squid 2 0 4172K 4112K select 0:22 0.00%0.00% squid

Both get restarted at "2pm" daily, and actually they are sort of
behaving right now :(

Actually, is this normal? I have seen the "Base" Size to go as high
as 15 megs, with about 7 megs for RES.

Hmm..

On another note, if someone wants to "share" a proxy, just drop me a
note, I wouldnt mind adding you as a sibbling off one of our squid's
here, currently, lowrider is the parent, with dynaglide the sybling.

Or, if you want to "check" performance, our proxy server is
proxy.hili.com on port 3128 ...
