Yes, but it also comes with an ncsa_auth program which can use the ncsa
style password file that is used for internal proxy authentication.

We're still beta-testing 1.2 so we can still make these changes and there
are other more complicated things people will have to change when upgrading
from 1.1 to 1.2. Based on the feedback I get I can say that a lot of users
would like to see external proxy authentication included in the Squid 1.2
release because it's more generic.

I'll do some more testing and documentation and then I'll submit it for
inclusion in the 1.2 beta development cycle.
