But you will have to get the sorce rpm and do a rpm --rebuild on then if
you have your linux box set up to use more than the default file
descriptors, make sure the dir /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386 is there or the
rebuild will fail, if it dose work the rmp will be in the said dir.

Send the guy email to let him know how good they are so he keeps doing
them! :)
