Probably not. As I said there should be two processes where one is a
child of the first. Then all the external programs (dnsserver,
redirectors, ...) should be childs to the second Squid process.

Parent Squid
   |
   \-- Main Squid
         |
         \-- dnsservers
         |
         \-- redirectors
         ..

This is unless you start Squid with the -N option. If you use the -N
option then the parent Squid step is skipped (the first process is the
main Squid process).
