Hi

My squid has got plenty of disk space available......but it never seems to
use more than 20% of the pace

I am using the following in my conf file:

cache_dir /usr/local/squid/cache1 4000 16 256

refresh_pattern -i ^http: 144 100% 86400 override-expire
override-lastmod reload-into-ims ignore-reload
refresh_pattern -i ^ftp: 43200 100% 86400 override-expire
override-lastmod reload-into-ims ignore-reload
refresh_pattern -i ^gopher: 43200 100% 86400 override-expire
override-lastmod reload-into-ims ignore-reload

refresh_pattern -i .gif$ 43200 100% 86400 override-expire
override-lastmod reload-into-ims ignore-reload
refresh_pattern -i .jpg$ 43200 100% 86400 override-expire
override-lastmod reload-into-ims ignore-reload
refresh_pattern -i .jpeg$ 43200 100% 86400 override-expire
override-lastmod reload-into-ims ignore-reload
refresh_pattern . 43200 100% 86400 override-expire
override-lastmod reload-into-ims ignore-reload

Any ideas why Squid is not using the space it has?

Regards,
Andrew
