ReiserFS is developed by a team set together by Hans Reiser. The work
has a number of sponsors. ReiserFS home page is
http://devlinux.org/namesys I think.

As of yet I have no defenite experience telling if reiserfs is a benefit
for Squid or not, mostly since it does not yet support Alpha Linux which
is the platform for the high end Squid servers I run (~150 requests/s).

Hans Reiser has plans on making a optimized Squid Reiser filesystem.
This will require some changes in both ReiserFS and in Squid.
