One thing about transparent proxies that i want to get clear....

Is this right?
The request goes out to the sites router, which automatically redirects (it
needs to be configured to do this) all trafic on the port 80, that is not
from the proxy. to the proxy on port 3128, or whatever port the proxy is
configured to run on.

So if any traffic is going out on port 80 (http) and is not from the proxy
server, it gets routed to the proxy, which then accepts the request, and
gets it itself.
