[SQU] OpenBSD 2.8 not returning data

Installed squid 2.3 Stable4 with all patches on OpenBSD 2.8 and am
unable to get the proxy to retrieve any documents (either locally or
externally)

Nnetscape complains about a zero sized reply

running the client program returns the following output:

proxy1# ../bin/client -v http://www.altavista.com
headers: 'GET http://www.altavista.com HTTP/1.0
Accept: */*

'
proxy1#

Nothing in the logs is visible

I tried running 2.4 Pre-release and this at leased puts in the access
log

squid (pid) terminating

(squid still runs though)

What am I missing?
