Hi,

The following command flags are valid:

to start squid:

squid

to stop squid:

squid -k shutdown

to reload squid:

squid -k reload

to reconfigure squid:

squid -k reconfigure

As far as re-building and wiping the cache is
concerned. I would suggest that you rename your root
cache dir (i.e. /var/squid/cache) to /var/squid/cache2
and then issue the command:

squid -z

to rebuild the new cache folder. Then delete the
re-named cache.

Hope that helps,

Thomas Adam
