Any one knows using wpad option with netscape. Does netscape support wpad.

fine... i have my wpad configured it works great...

but, does anybody knows about a script which can rerun the "detect
configuration" on IE? so i can set an HTML document on apache saying "click
here to reconfigure IE"

Sorry i know this is getting far from squid but i can't find nobody who
knows nor literature for MSIE and i thougth you migth have experience using
it...

Or if you want to find the current (non-expired) draft and other related
work see http://www.wrec.org/. Hopefully there will in time be a
official standard on how to autodiscover proxies.
