Joe,

Just curious as to when you think we could get our hands on your squid
srpms? I'm about to test install RH7.1 in about 4 hours. I dunno what
version of Squid it has. Anyways, if I don't encounter any hitches and
don't see any potential problems, I'd upgrade all our servers to RH7.1 and
hope I may be able to use your srpms instead of the stock rpm in 7.1. So
far, I haven't heard of any bad reviews about it (unlike 7.0 where the sh*t
hit the fan just a day after it was released). I understand 7.1 still uses
gcc 2.96 (same controversial version as in 7.0) but keeping my fingers
crossed. What I like about RH7.1 is that it uses kernel 2.4 which already
has kernel support for ReiserFS among other improvements.

One more thing for all you guys, I have 2 SCSI drives (18Gb and 9Gb which is
limited to only 60% utilization by Squid) on 1 U2W controller for the cache
and a UDMA66 IDE drive for the / partition. I plan to use ReiserFS but do
you guys think its enough to use ReiserFS on the cache drives only and leave
the IDE drive as ext2?
