Hi,

I am a beginner SQUID user. At the moment we are using our local cache &
the IT manager wants me to use our ISP proxy cache.
Our ISP told me to place the following line in squid.conf

cache_peer adelaide.cache.telstra.net 3128 0 no-query prefer_direct off

I did this an restarted SQUID & the following error was echoed onto the screen.

2001/04/23 10:07:04| parse_peer: token='prefer_direct'
FATAL: Bungled squid.conf line 195: cache_peer adelaide.cache.telstra.net
3128 0 no-query prefer_direct off
Squid Cache (Version 2.2.STABLE1): Terminated abnormally.
CPU usage: 0.020 seconds
Maximum Resident Size: 0 KB
Page faults with physical i/o: 165

BTW: our squid sits on a LINUX box.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
