I also run into the same problem. Heres the relevant portion from squid.conf:

 acl SSL_ports 443 563
 acl CONNECT method CONNECT

 http_access deny !SSL_ports
 http_access allow CONNECT SSL_ports
 http_access allow all

 I am unable to logon to any of the internet mails. Please advice if this is correct.
