Hi there,

I also had problems compiling Squid on HPUX 11.00 with HP's
compiler. I used GNU's make which worked. However, when I tried
to compile gcc, I failed and in the end I downloaded a precompiled
binary package from the link below in depot format.

http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/hppd/hpux/Gnu/make-3.79.1/

After this, though there were a few warnings (these
seemed to not have affected Squid), it worked.
