Hi

well, I actually have another squid box running in Solaris 8 and IPF 3.4.20
and squid 2.4.STABLE1_patched_2001-05-21. And that works just fine.

I even tried installing the same version of squid as the old box that is
2.4.STABLE1(patched) with the IPF 3.4.38 on solaris 9, no luck.

I will try to install the same version of IPF tomorrow to see 'trial and
fire' works or not.

Regards,

Zia

This looks very like the problems I had in the past with squid 2.3 and IPF
3.4.x (eg
http://www.squid-cache.org/mail-archive/squid-users/200108/0654.html)

I'd been under the impression that there was no problem with squid 2.4 and
IPF 3.4, but maybe the IPF guys have changed something. Might be worth
seeing whether an earlier ipf 3.4 works - ISTR using 3.4.20 fine.

I'm no longer using Solaris caches so don't have more recent experience,
I'm afraid.
