[squid-users] Protocol Unreachables????

Setting up a linux7.3 running 2.4S6 squid as a transparent proxy. Have enabled wccp with Cisco router and, using ethereal, see the initial communications for wccp (here i am/i see you/assign bucket) with no problem.

However, one the first packet is redirected, the squid box is senfing an ICMP Dest Unreach/Protocol Unreach message to the router, effectively killing Internet access. Wccp is still talking as I see other here i am/i see you messages.

Has anyone experienced this? If so, what was the fix to get the communications flowing? The router is wccpv1 and I'm sure I can eliminate the router as the troublemaker.

Any help with this will be appreciated. The settings for squid.conf are all default except for wccp router and the following httpd_accel settings:

httpd_accel_host virtual
httpd_accel_with_proxy on
httpd_accel_uses_host_header on

If I'm missing something it hasn't been for not looking.

Thanks
