Hi all,

About using ftp "put" in Netscape with Squid. I hesitate to post here,
because it might be a Netscape problem, and nothing to do with
Squid at all... but just in case....

Background: ftp "put" does work Netscape 4.8 via Squid. If you
omit the password for the ftp site, you will be prompted for it. You
can upload files by using the "Upload file" menuitem under the "File"
menu. You can also drag and drop a file into the browser window to
upload it. And you should be able to upload a group of files, or
a directory, but...

Netscape also allows you to drag *several* files at once or even a
*directory* - but when Netscape attempts to upload them, it fails.

(1). For several files, this is the error message (a single file works fine):
"A network error occurred while Netscape
     was receiving data.
     (Network Error: Connection aborted)

     Try connecting again."

(2). For a directory (the same path works for a single file):
"Netscape is unable to find the file or directory
    named [full pathname appears here].

Check the name and try again."

The second error looks like it is to do with Netscape - but the first
one could be a Squid problem?

Thanks very much for any tips or pointers!

Cheers,
Brendan Macmillan
