Re: [squid-users] Starting on boot squid-2.5.STABLE2 with winbind fails

I did what you told me to do. And this is the error message when squid is
starting:

FATAL: getpwnam failed to find userid for effective user 'squid'
Squid Cache (Version 2.5.STABLE2): Terminated abnormally.
CPU Usage: 0.064 seconds = 0.057 user + 0.008 sys
Maximum Resident Size: 0 KB
Page faults with physical i/o: 245

This message occurs when I try to start squid without starting winbindd. I
made this test. I killed winbindd and ran squid and the same massage came
up.
If I start winbindd and then start squid, no error occurs. Squid works fine.
So my problem must be Winbind startup delay causes wb_ntlmauth helper to
fail.
