Re: [squid-users] Squid 2.5 and NTLM Auth.

I started out with RedHat 9, Samba-2.2.8a and
Squid2.5-Stable2. Then I tried Stable1, then I tried
Samba-2.2.7 with Stable2 and Stable1, all the while
trying to figure out how to patch the winbind code
from Samba to Squid ... or was it the other way around
... I dunno. Finally, I got it to work on RedHat7.3
(I still don't think the OS has anything to do with
it, but the boss said 'fall back'), Samba-2.2.6 and
Squid-2.5-Stable2.

Doing jus' fine since then ... now all I need to do is
rotate and delete logs (from cron, I think) so that
/var/log doesn't fill up. And I occasionally tweak
the "blacklist". Squid is quite smart and very
determined to block URLs if you tell it to.

I'm going to try RedHat9, Samba-2.2.8a and
Squid-2.5.Stable2 soon, just because I'm stubborn that
way and someone mailed me their configs to make this
work.
