Yuck.. an very old version of Squid, using a completely untested patchset
of mine. You did read my notes before installing this one?

I do not quite get the question.

In any event, upgrading to a supported Squid version may be in order if
there is no dns_timeout parameter in your version.

Even if there are I would reommend upgrading.
