 Very simply stated, SQUID knows which objects are in the cache.
 The process is client driven. Clients (browsers) are fetching objects,
 which either SQUID has in it's cache or it hasn't ; and if it hasn't
 SQUID must go to the remote webserver to fetch the object (again).
