Bit of a stab in the dark there for me too. Thus the full trace.

AFAIK pools works by slowing the write. But reads are open still and
stuff like ICAP and ClientStreams may pull the whole file in.

I'm suspecting something is accounting for pooled data but not checking
before sending a whole pile down the way.
