*MY MAIN GOAL: Cache all Windows Updates*

I have a little EeeBox that I want to dedicate MAINLY to Windows Updates

Unless someone can give me a reason why I'd ever want to 're-download' or
refresh any particular Windows Update that might already be stored in the
Cache I plan to dedicate LOTS of space so they don't get written over due to
lack of space.

I have installed the maximum (4GB of RAM) in this system.
The info on this pages is a little unclear:
http://wiki.squid-cache.org/SquidFaq/SquidMemory
<http://wiki.squid-cache.org/SquidFaq/SquidMemory>
http://www.deckle.co.uk/squid-users-guide/installing-squid.html
<http://www.deckle.co.uk/squid-users-guide/installing-squid.html>

The Linux system that I have installed uses about 350 MB of RAM.

To MAXIMIZE the possible cache_dir size it looks like using a 32 Bit system
would be best as this page:
http://wiki.squid-cache.org/SquidFaq/SquidMemory
<http://wiki.squid-cache.org/SquidFaq/SquidMemory>
. . . suggests that
     10 MB of memory per 1 GB on disk for 32-bit Squid
     14 MB of memory per 1 GB on disk for 64-bit Squid
would be required.

*Question 1:* If I wanted to dedicate 3 GB of the Ram to the index, would
that mean that I should set my cache_dir to 3072?
     cache_dir ufs /usr/local/squid/var/cache 3072 16 256

*Question 2:* Seeing how this is significantly larger that the default 100
MB should I consider increasing the size of the "*16 256*" in the above
sample code?

Again, Thanks for the assistance.
