If it "works fine" it's because you aren't using the proxy! If you don't
add 8883 port to SSL_ports you can't get https://xxx.xx.xx:8883/ through
the proxy with any squid version... (I hope :-)

And if you have full access to internet you shouldn't be using the proxy
for getting https-pages... they can't be cached at all!
