Try turning tcp_extensions on in the FreeBSD server (look for
tcp_extensions in /etc/rc.conf or /etc/sysconfig for it to do it each
time).

/usr/sbin/sysctl -w net.inet.tcp.rfc1323=1
/usr/sbin/sysctl -w net.inet.tcp.rfc1644=1
