Equal cost multipath is probably what you're after, though I haven't
seen much in the way of documentation for it. It is supported by the
2.2 series kernels and higher, but none of the networking HOWTO's cover
it other than to mention it in passing.

I've looked over the kernel docs, but found nothing related. Presumably
one could search out information about it on the kernel mailing lists,
if dedicated enough to do so. The relevant kernel code may have a
homepage or some docs somewhere that covers it, but a quick search of
Google didn't turn it up for me. Maybe you'll have better luck.

Good luck.
