Illegal characters in URL?

how do squid and squidguard acl's relate?Heip!

While reaching the URL:
ftp://130.225.154.183/incoming/tst/.MII/~/.[-RD-]/Deus.Ex-FLT

Response:
.[-RD-]: The system cannot find the file specified.

When reaching the URL directly (without squid), I can see the files
and directories.

Can I configure Squid to be more tolerant?
