[squid-users] assertion failed: store_dir_diskd.c:1645: "buf"

Hi,

This morning squid kept restarting itself repeatedly. In the end I had to stop
squid and start it again. Our site is using Squid 2.4.STABLE4, running on
Redhat 7.1 with kernel 2.4.9-21.

Squid was built with --enable-storeio=diskd,ufs (along with a few other
configure parameters).

Following entry in the cache.log file appeared repeatedly with restarts:

2002/02/28 11:47:49| assertion failed: store_dir_diskd.c:1645: "buf"

What can I do to prevent squid repeatedly restarting with regard to the
above warning in the cache.log file?

Out of curiousity, has anyone built squid on Linux with 2.4.x kernel with
diskd using aufs? If so, what command line parameter was supplied to
the configure script?

I've just checked my cache.log file again. Squid has been regularly
restarting itself since I shut it down and started it again at 12:00 GMT
approx.

Any help appreciated.

Regards,

DC
