You should allow for a months delay or so. B-)

I am committed to ensuring that all Squid-Users questions get answered
if possible, but I am not committed to do so in a timely manner. In
fact, I will even try to keep a minimum delay of a week to let others
have a chance to answer first.

If anyone needs to have guaranteed timely answers then Squid support
agreements can be bought from my company MARA Systems AB
<http://www.marasystems.com/>. There is also other providers of Squid
support with varying quality.

Yes. Not terribly many users that is. Maybe if all are LAN or other high
bandwidth users and all they do is surf the web..

Yes, provided your Squid is compiled with support for aufs. A "squid -k
parse" will tell quickly if not.

Sounds reasonable, but you can use a larger cache_dir if you like.

Regarding the cache dir size, see mainly the Squid FAQ on memory usage
why you should not be using a too large cache dir.

squid-cache is not a company or organsation. It is merely a piece of
software. squid-cache do not employ anyone.

I work on Squid when I have time and interest, or a someone pays me to
do so.

What is a "final authority" on community driven Open Source projects?

I do know almost all aspects of Squid, including the magic inner
workings of the source code.

These pages should tell you more in who I am and what I do:

http://www.marasystems.com/
http://www.hem.passagen.se/hno/
http://devel.squid-cache.org/hno/
http://www.squid-cache.org/Devel/
http://www.squid-cache.org/volunteers.html

> Are you the guy who ppl. call HNO?

I am the guy who use "hno" as signature on his patches and my email
address yes. It is short and reasonably unique.

When people refer to me in person they usually use "Henrik".
